I was aware of Math Hoffa as a prime battle rapper back in the Smack era of rap battles. (Yep, he literally smacked a rapper during a battle. This was maybe in the late 90’s or so?) You didn’t really want to have it out with him then… I mean! Nice with the hands and fiery with the rhymes.

The wonderful thing about life and time is that we have a chance to evolve as we grow. Fast-forward from 2000 to, at least, two years ago, and I run into his channel again, but it’s packed with new episodes, and suddenly Math Hoffa now has one of the best and fastest growing Hip-Hop podcasts out! The YouTube channel has even more content between full episodes and excerpts, and a list of guests he has interviewed that would make any Hip-Hop fan excited and any journalist envious.
